(ish) #1 — The Reset Ritual

A 4-step fix for when your brain is fried

 😵‍💫 The Struggle
It’s midweek (or midday), and your brain is mush.
You’re tired, grumpy, doom-scrolling, staring blankly between Slack pings.
You need a break — but there’s no time for a walk in the woods or a 3-day retreat.

So… you continue on with the mind-numbing grind.

The 🧠 Shift
Your brain’s not broken, you aren’t lazy, stupid, or worthless. You and your tired brain are overloaded.
And what it needs isn’t a new habit. Or a spa day. Or another damn podcast.

It just needs a reset.

A tiny ritual that tells your nervous system: “You’re safe. We’re okay. Let’s start again.”

Not a transformation or big life changes, just a chance to regroup.

🛠️ The Tool: Reset Ritual (30 minutes)

  1. No screens — Not even a Kindle. Eyes up, see the real world.

  2. Move your body — Stretch, walk, shower, sweep. Doesn’t matter, just do something to get your body moving.

  3. Capture chaos — Brain dump in a notebook. No structure, just get it out of your brain. You can come back to it later if you must.

  4. One nice thing for future you, a friend, or a coworker — Make coffee, tidy a room, prep your clothes, do a favor for someone around you.

Then stop. You’re done.

It’s not meant to be productive. It’s simply preventative maintenance.

🧘 The Takeaway
Your brain isn’t a machine — but if it were, it would need a reboot way more often than we give it one.

So give it one.

No guilt. No goals.
Just enough space to breathe.

That’s the whole point of (ish), small simple tips to make life a bit better.
